I'm 21 weeks and my roots really need doing 👀 I've heard your hair can go green is this true? 🙈

Hi, if you are planning to dye your hair. Please make sure it doesn't have Ammonia in it :)

Yeah I've read that u shouldn't but also read that people do so little confusing 👀

i asked my midwife and she said hair dyes have come a long way and there was no problem with me dying my hair except it might come out a slightly different colour due to hormones... i dyed it plum, and now its black and brown. dunno about bleach though hun xx

I've held off and I will probably wait but hate my dark roots specially now it's summer xx

@mummytobe, im on the same boat :)) roots make me look sooo tacky lol but i didnt want to risk it :) ill have a fresh new look after the baby is here

Well I have highlights and I got my roots done a couple of weeks ago! They say just be careful up until 12 weeks and then it should be fine .. My hair turned out how it always has .. Didn't go green or anything xx

I had a strand test before they done mine because hormones can alter how your hair takes to the dye xx

I died my hair, I was dark brown and I bleached it twice the outcome.. I stayed dark brown.. Because of the hormones the dye might not take to your hair as mine didn't. I don't see anything wrong with dying your hair whilst pregnant, just be careful x
