that's how i hope it is... just alot of excitement... i just don't want to go see the in-laws and little man be overwhelmed with so many people and they are blinded to it by their excitement.. like hug and squeeze him whine he's getting anxious.. idk this is my first baby so idk if its me just wanting him to my self with my husband
So I'm having the same issue with my mil ..I'm hoping it's just her way of showing excitement but she keeps saying my baby and I wanna kick her in the throat every time. I think it's just their way of showing support...I hope

@jessicagarmal, you will have to be firm with her. Let her know you need to bond, and feed, and then she is more than welcome to help when you need a rest. Sometimes there's a thing as tooooo much support and help. Haha. Just be honest with her- tell her it's a big change and you want to learn as much as you can by being hands on. Say things like, "thank you! But I got it - I need to learn to do it because you won't be here to help forever 😔" . She will be flattered and let you do your mommy duties all at the same time! ( let's hope!) haha.
true very true.. thanks for the help... i was pretty conflicted.. haha.. i just want to make sure I'm the mama... my mil wants to come stay for a while when baby its here... it'll be nice to have help in the house but she wants to be the one to wake up and feed him and stuff and i feel that's my mama job... like my special bonding period
@jessicagarmal, totally understandable. Just think - there are hundreds of girls out there who have terrible inlaws, or who got knocked up by some guy they hardly know, and his parents want nothing to do with their new grandchild. We are the lucky ones that they love us, and the baby so much. 😊

Seems like they are just excited. I think it's sweet. It's kind of like foreshadowing that they will be great grandparents. I wouldn't worry.
