You are very fertile in the first 6wks after your baby is born and you have a high chance of becoming pregnant again. That being said, another reason doctors advise you to wait the six weeks because of risk of infection that can cause a lot of issues. If you decide you want to have sex before the 6wks are up, I highly advise you go to your doctor and get checked before doing so.
