so I need some help wrapping my head around a situation. Here in oregon you can't get in oregon you can't get induced before full term, unless for health reasons, and many doctors won't induce before 39 weeks. Well this girl I went to high school with and our due dates are a day apart (I'm July 16th and her the 17th) is being induced tomorrow and she's super excited. Also people are cheering her on for it. Personally I'd be terrified to have my baby at 35 weeks, with him not being fully developed and all. And she's acting like she is going to be able to take him home immediately. I just don't understand......

Why is she getting induced so early?

she won't tell anyone. but it's illegal in oregon to do it this early without either her health or the babies health at risk to continue.

She won't tell anyone why? That's weird. So nothing's wrong medically with her or the baby?

there has to be. but she just won't say. I don't see any doctors here risking their medical licence to bend the laws about it @laura_love

That's true, but you never know. I mean, unless it's a medical condition she's embarrassed about, I don't see why she wouldn't tell. That makes no sense

well her so called boyfriend controls her so I'm assuming cause he told everyone who was excited she was getting induced to "let them live their lives" that he won't let her tell anyone. that's the second thing people are ecstatic for her and she constantly posts how many weeks she is on Facebook.

Being induced is not fun at all you can have contractions for hours and hardly anything . I was 38 weeks and was a in labor for 22.5 hrs . My water broke and nothing was happening so they induced me. 2nd child they ( doc) poked the sack and broke my water I had her in 4 hrs after that . I was in labor all night and was only a 2 then a 3 for cervix . So just don't worry about your friend every pregnancy can be different mine were.

@mama2kids. I just don't understand why she is acting like having her baby 5 weeks early is going to be the best thing ever :/

She sounds super immature. Especially If she doesn't realize the ramifications of having a baby who isn't fully developed yet and all the issues she could have for not waiting those extra weeks. Sounds like she's going to find out the hard way!

Yeah, I'd be excited, but then again, I'd be worried at only 35 weeks. I had a smooth induction with my first, but I was 39 weeks. Anyways, the boyfriend said it's so they can "live their lives"? What's that even suppose to mean?

@danamarie that's exactly how I feel. and she thinks she is going to be able to take him home right away

Wow that's crazy thats a whole month of development that the baby still needs. The baby could be born with issues and most likely will have to stay at the hospital. I wouldn't want that wth she's crazy

Exactly - she's too stupid to realize the damage it will cause. Kind of sad if you ask me.
