what do you mean going over? see i feel tighten and untighten pains i told the doctor that she said thats fine so they only check wgen you feel like your having contractions...and how do they check? do they stick something in you?

what happens is they stick their finger inside you and can feel everything to know how effaced (thin your cervix is) & dilated you are. all doctors check at different times. mine started at 36 weeks. what you're feeling is braxton hicks the tightening of you stomach. drink more water (: contractions are miserable.

I always ask my dr to check me I've gone in twice 2 weeks ago and today so far I'm 2cm dilated and have no mucus plug but all they were going to do was give me the strep b test idk I'm always curious to see if I dilate more so I ask for it lol

I had told my Dr about how I would have irregular contractions not just braxton hicks come and go and,at first we thought the baby was coming early but she checked at 39 weeks and absolutely nothing changed, and Also she did a membrane sweep at 40 weeks, that's where they take there finger and try to pull away amniotic sac from the walls,of your womb to kick start labour but nothing happened for me so i was overdue, sorry I was so vague earlier !!
