Until you personally have a baby in the nicu you will have no clue what it's like..I am exhausted, terrified, stressed and don't know up from down most days, one of the most stressful things for me is not being able to hold her & cuddle her whenever I want to, having a complete stranger tell you when and how long you can hold YOUR baby is a bit rough, I know it's for her own good but it's not pleasant one damn bit

@gracelynsmomma, me too..or when you get a rude nurse who will just stand there and stare you down the entire time you're there and watch your every move., I understand you're taking care of her but she is still MY little girl

@gracelynsmomma, I didn't get to see her for the first time until she was 6 days old..so of course the first day I did get to see her I just wanted to sit there and stare at her, just be close to her.. her daddy and I were sitting beside her bed when she starts crying so I reach out and put one hand around her feet and legs and the other hand on top of her head (like they told me to to calm her down)..the nurse notices me touching her and gets this awful look on her face and asks in this pissy little voice "are you guys about ready to let her rest?" .. like no bitch this is the first time I've seen her since she was born all I want is for you to go the hell on somewhere

I can imagine, I'm sorry dear :(
I developed severe preeclampsia & HELLP syndrome, I think the highest my blood pressure got was 180/130.. my liver and kidneys were failing and my body started killing my red blood cells, then magnesium poisoning (my doctors fault >< )on top of all of that.. I went through two blood transfusions before they let me go.. I'm getting better now tho, just waiting on the day I can take my little love home
