I do it all the time. It's the only way I am able to being them in.

I sometimes have no choice to but I always make sure I strap her in because she has fallen out before

Oh girl yes. Completely okay! I'm sure you're asking this because you've heard otherwise. Babies aren't supposed to sleep in the sitting up position for an extended period of time. I'm sure your swing reclines right? Buckle her in, recline it and pack away those groceries! Shoot my son slept in a swing for like the first three months of his life..it was the only way he would sleep at night. We just always made sure he was strapped in and that it was reclined completely flat :)
