I'm 21 years old. My mother does not know I am pregnant yet and I definitely and beyond scared to tell her. I moved out to a room about 3 weeks ago by myself. I just got a job but the pay isn't realistic for me and a baby as well as trying to move out of this room. The lady who owns the apartment does not know I am pregnant yet. I recently had to inform my employer about my pregnancy I have not been there not even for a month yet but it's an all day on your feet retail job which is really draining me. The father of the baby to my unfortunate luck does not help me financially I pay my weekly rent, do my groceries, pay for any miscellaneous stuff myself. What I am making I just know won't cut it for when the baby is here neither for moving out. I really just don't have anyone to talk to or vent to. I am really stressed because I want to have it together by the time this baby is here. I'm willing to work and thankfully I'm not showing yet I just hit 3 Months but I don't have much time to find a stable job before I begin to show all this stress is getting to me. I honestly break down almost every night I'm very overwhelmed.

@camillesmom, I don't know if this sounds realistic but I did speak with my mom and she suggested the shelter because supposedly when you're pregnant your chances of being offered a low income apartment are bigger she told me this because of a friend she had with a success story but idk how is feel about that

Yea I understand but that might be better than a shelter atleast until you get back in your feet and you might have done extra help to work more

Yes and it's not a problem but her house is too crowded it was the reason I left in the first place there's no space for me nor a baby in there when I was there I was sleeping on the couch @camillesmom

@sandyxlix1989, my mother and I have a very distant relationship we are more just mother and daughter not friends she doesn't know how to handle certain situations she's very closed minded and thinks everything should be done in the right order.

@queendavis, thank you, I haven't looked into it yet but I sure will this week. It's definitely hard and yes I am very nervous I want to do nothing but the best for this baby but I'm juggling so much things at once on my own that im stressed out. I'm procrastinating on telling her I just don't know how.

@momofroyalty, yes I know it's hard and I just have to rip it off like a band aid but I'm so scared and terrified I feel like I need someone to help me tell her it's not like I have forever. Thank you.

You should talk to your mom, she may be furious at first but she will support you regardless & as for the dad if he's not going to help financially you should start putting his ass on child support!! Your job can't really do much about you being pregnant, just don't give them any type of excuse to fire you. I know you must be drained but it's all for your little peanut, just remember babies feel everything the mom is feeling...so be happy and enjoy it love, it goes by very quick. Oh if you need help with groceries or help paying some bills you should contact WIC, they're very helpful. Pray and God will do miracles for you n your little angel, don't be sad anymore :-/

It's best to let your mom know. I'm not sure what kind of relationship you may have with your mom but mom will always try their best to give the support you need when you least expect it. They will always want the best for their child!

Have you looked into government assistance? I'm sure you can get WIC and food stamps which would cut down your cost on groceries. You may even be able to get cash assistance depending on how much you make. If you need help you should definitely look into it! I'm sorry you're going through a rough time, I hope it gets better soon. I'm sure you're very nervous to tell your mom that you're pregnant but she will probably handle it better than you think. At least you're not living under her roof and unemployed! You're trying and that's what matters. She will love her grand baby and be very excited! Good luck :) I'll keep you in my prayers.
