so much pressure down there. i hope im not dilating any more, or effacing any more. my belly has been getting hard on and off, but it's not regular really... I don't feel anything else pain wise.. But I also didn't feel dilation or effacement in the first place, but was quite surprised to find out i am 70 percent effaced and 3cm dilated already. Docs didn't tell me im close but they sure acted like it when they bum rushed me onto those steroid shots.... By the way, anyone have a good concept of what 3cm dilated and 70% effaced looks like?

I made it to 38wks! Just got home from my doctor's appointment and the midwife checked my cervix and I'm 3cm dilated and 70% effaced but apparently they won't admit me til I'm 6...which doesn't make any sense to me but hey I don't make the rules...
Looks like im staying in the hospital until monday😒 im 3cm dilated and 50% effaced!... 🤷 with painful contractions

I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.
Super weird I lost like 3 pounds at my apt today. Still only 1-2 dilated but 50% effaced. Slowly getting there like at the speed of a turtle.
Are there any effective ways & things I can do to help soften and dilate my cervix faster? At my appointment my doctor said I was MAYBE a fingertip dilated and 60% effaced.
No means that your cervix is no longer long and skinny it's short and flat and that a doctor can probably fit a finger tip through to your water sac. Means baby is in position for when labor starts .
