it can and will be considered high risk...your ob will go through everything with you...if you don't keep your numbers in check you could have a bigger baby and the baby could have complications. I'm diabetic on insulin and have been for years...I kept close eye on my numbers wrote everything down and stayed in communication with my ob. near the end it gets hard as hormones will block more of the insulin so nber will go higher so they increased my dose every week. because of my strong will power and ate a healthy diet and kept my numbers as close to where they should be my baby was healthy and was 6.13 for weight. it won't be easy and was the most difficult thing I had to control but I did it and it's so worth it. keep your numbers and A1c good...I think I was 5.9 at the beginning and in the middle I was 5.7.
