how long did it take from your first contraction till you needed to go the hospital? I had a real contraction that woke me up out of my sleep it wasnt a braxton hicks, this is my first one. Do you think he could be coming soon? or do you think I could still have a couple days to a week to go?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
Transgender children So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do u think the parents are behind this? Idk because I haven't met the parents or children. I just think at 5 it's very young for children to really understand. What do u ladies think?
Racial nickname I sometimes call my lo monkey. To me he looks like a little monkey. My so says it's racist and offensive. What do you think?

Locking your doors We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?

not today thankfully, I also feel that.. I was tellin my bf how I feel my body preparing for labour :( It's also scary.. Imma be a mom! Someone is gonna depend on me 24/7

I don't, we just moved here. I have no family here and my bfs family is all about 1.5 hours away. All the neighbors are super nice. I'm sure if I needed a ride they'd give me one (I just now thought of this, I feel a little better lol)
The first one was in my lower back it was a sharp stabbing pain. I had to just stand there amd breathe for a few min it lasted about 40seconds maybe a minute, I didn't really wanna move lol I didn't want it to happen again... I didn't notice my tummy get hard or anything, I was mainly focused on my back (I have an old injury that was left untreated so it turned into arthritis, it where my pelvic bone and spine meet, and thats where I felt that contraction) the second one tho, man that almost made me cry, it started in the same spot and creeped to my sides onto the bottom of my tummy and my stomach was so hard I almost peed myself.. It felt just horrible. Only reason I know it was braxton hicks is cuz I experienced those early on. And these two I felt were no joke. I'm also 35 weeks along

I had my first contraction at 730 on Friday night and we went to the hospital at midnight because they were 3 to 4 min apart and I had her on Sunday at 352 am. so I had a whole day I could have waited but I had constant contractions mostly every 2 to 3 min so I'd go in just to make sure.

I had contractions 5 min apart for two days. all together my labor was 2 days 17 hrs long. they didn't admit me until they were 3 min apart

ohh noo im sorry I would have freaked too. do you have someone close by to drive you to the hospital when its time? @mssjudyk and what did yours feel like was it the period craps kind or did your hole stomach tighten up?

i had 2 yesterday... they were no joke, i called my dr, he told me to drink some cold water and lay down. I was cleaning when I got them. And for some reason i felt super scared... I'm home alone for the most part and it hit me I could have my son at any moment and I might be all alone.. really i felt a little panicked and worried..

thats crazy my birth class said thats when you should go in when they are 4 to 5 min apart. So you had 5 min apart contractions for 2days or it took 2days to get to 5 min apart. lol sorry baby brain. @delilahsmommy2.22

Clean away haha being active usually helps get things going if you're close! But yeah if you haven't felt anything again it's prob not labor :( and girl no 😩 I didn't even make it in time to get an IV in my arm! I had absolutely NO drugs! But I'm glad. For me, it was better that way :) I plan on doing it drug free again this September.

my first contractions were on Sunday morning. went in that night but wasn't dilating so they sent me home. went back Monday evening and they kept me. He was born the next day. everyone is different. when they are consistent and strong, go in.

it's the first one that I'm positive it was a contraction. I hadn't felt anything else since . it was at 2am and its almost 8am now. I've been cleaning since it happened lol. omg 30 mins I hope I'm that lucky. so you didnt make it in time for an epidural? @queendavis

everyone's different love so no-one can tell you about your body or when the baby is going to come they only could tell you about their experiences.

Also my contractions weren't even bad they were tolerable so if you had a bad one I think you should go in.

You never know. Be careful tho. I waited way too long to go in (30 mins ha!) and almost had my son in the car.
