How old was your child when you first took them on an airplane? My daughter will be around five/six…

You should wait till there 8 months there ears are still delicate an can pop while thousands if feet in sky..but you can honestly ask your pediatrician :)

there's special ear plugs for baby's when u GET to the airport but they are expensive

@anqiee323, 5 or 6 years old?? We are a traveling family. We wouldn't wait that long, but at least long enough to where it's safe for her, and I can keep a child calm (for the most part. Haha.)

No I don't think 5 months is too soon at all. U will see once the time comes. But def try to get some advice from ur pediatrician. @jennatess

@anqiee323, ohhhh! He's a professional flyer! I know that as long as they've had their immunizations, they can fly as early as two weeks old. However, I just worry about the ear popping. Plus, there is 30% less oxygen while in the air, so I figure that would also be tough on newborn lungs.

I was on a plane before I was 2 months old.

My oldest was three months first plane ride I think we gave her a lil Tylenol before the ride and had no problem, my new baby will be four months when she takes her first plane ride I never looked into it as I had been flying since I was first born as well and my hearing is excellent.
