Ugh I am so frustrated. My daughter had her 4 month appointment last week and the doctor who showed up wasn't her doctor and had never seen her before. My daughter was born 2 months early, but has been on track with development and sometimes even ahead with development of other babies her age. This doctor comes in and tells us to treat her like she's 2 months old, and not to give her rice or anything yet because of that. Well my daughter has been eating a ton lately because breast milk/formula are not filling her anymore. It's so hard to have an upset and unsatisfied baby and no way to comfort her!

make another appointment with her actual doctor for a second opinion

@cjw1095, I tried but they wouldn't schedule it! And the doctor she saw told me not to give her rice til 6 months..I can't go through 2 months of her eating like this and not getting satisfied

you know your baby the best and if she does well on rice give it to her. they have to give you an appt with her doc why wouldn't they?@ashbabash18

@suresti, I'm not sure what happened. I had scheduled it with her doctor, the receptionist said her doctor, the thing they write her appointment down on said her doctor but when we got to this appointment a different doctor walked in. So idk why or if there was a mixup..but this doctor wouldn't look at what she's actually doing, just that she was a premie
