Ok ladies this might be one of those TMI post but I need to ask cuz my anxiety is killing me with this soo my doctor said I have bacterial vaginosis and she gave some antibiotics 4 pills to take at one shot.. I took it but I'm extremely nervous that it will cause harm to my baby. I figure they wouldn't give me something to harm my baby but I can't help but to overthink this.. Have any of u ladies ever experienced this?? Thanks in advance 😌
@babysweetpea, It is very common in pregnancy and breastfeeding to get bacterial vaginosis because of the spike in hormones, it throws off your ph balance in your vagina. The medication they gave you is called metronidazole or brand name flagyl, it is perfectly safe with pregnancy and breastfeeding. If you dont mind next time ask for the vaginal gel inserts, it gets a little messy but I think it works faster and provides quick relief.
Thanks ladies I feel much better now😊😊 @brightsunsett @cjw1095 @valerie_jean @saramarie09
I had it, they gave me a gel that you had to insert vaginally.. Never got it again after that.
I took it during my pregnancy. My OB gave it to me so obviously she thought it was okay and safe. You're fine 😊
Will do and thanks hun @cuety83
