Anyone familiar with diastasis recti (abdominal wall separation)? This is my first pregnancy and kind of from the start I've noticed when I sit up the middle of my stomach sticks out like it almost looks like the baby is lying right there.. But it's not the baby I just did some research and I guess it's my abdominal wall separation which freaks me out. I had strong abs and muscles pre pregnancy from crossfit not just from being skinny. Any moms who have had this and had their babies have any experience if this creates long term problems? Like a pooch or something? I was always worried about c section cause I thought that separates your abs and you could never get them back is this gonna be the same outcome?
Yeah it's not unusual @chelsea0820 it's fairly common in pregnancy and yeah it isn't only in people who have a strong abdomen before I guess. I've found out more info so it's when the linea alba (the area between the two transverse abdominal muscles) gets stretched out and the two transverse abdominal muscles that are normally connected at the linea alba separate from each other essentially. I guess it's not a super big deal but you have to be careful and let them heal back together post pregnancy because sometimes your organs can herniate at the linea alba because the tissues are so stretched weak and thin. So yeah it doesn't mean yes we will have pooches ha but it means your being stretched to the max and be careful protect your body kinda thing. I'm gonna change the way I get up now more like roll on my side instead of just sitting straight up and there's pregnancy transverse exercise you can do to strengthen that area too. ссылка
and I never worked out before and ive had this with my entire pregnancy. and the doctor never once said anything about it.
omg mines does that all the time! 😱 I didn't know it was a name for it and I honestly thought it was just her laying there lol
Yeah where when you lean forward the center of your abdomen sticks out all weird looking :) @tiffany09
And I had a pooch after wards. But if u continue to work out and stuff after u have the baby it should go away.
Did your stomach go back to normal after your first pregnancy
It's because u had abs and stuff before. I had it too with my first pregnancy. It's not harmful. I asked my dr bout it and she said its normal in athletic girls or girls that work out and stuff.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
