why does formula have to be soo damn expensive !!!! and then they know we need formula to feed our babies soo they make…

@irisedith, how about if you have your dr note and show them ? Because they cannot force you to breastfeed and yet alone wait a month for them to give you formula that's so crazy

They can't force u to bf I bf at first my son couldn't latch cause part of his brain wasn't developed so I dried up so I went to the Wic office and they said I could talk to them about how to get my supply back but since I didn't they gave me my choice of formula for my son

that's crazy. I haven't been on wic in 9 years though. they have sure changed.

Wic should give you free formula if you tell them you're not breastfeeding. Also if you sign up for free membership through similar they give you 4-5 $5 off coupons I believe every month.

@juliagail09, they told me they dont give formula until baby is a month old and shes going on 3 weeks tuesday coming up

They do push breastfeeding but they will give you formula. just explain your milk has dried up and nothing you do is helping so baby needs formula

they should give it too you. i started off bf and then i stopped making milk. i called them and they got me in that day and i got formula. but idk maybe its different here

@mdomke22, @phasion yea they been pushing me to breastfeed because its healthy and blah blah blah , i know it is and i understand but im not producing nothing at all plus my babygirl lost a whole pound in just 2 days so i had to give her formula im not gonna let my child starve

WIC is very pushy with breast feeding.

you just need to tell them your not producing milk.
