About to take my gestational diabetes test. I really hope I don't have it, I've NEVER in my life been on a diet so this would really suck. About how long would I have to wait before I know the results? Do I call or do they call me?

the doctor will call you and only if anything wrong. it'll be like a week or less

@manders13, all women take it during pregnancy, gd only runs in pregnant women

@zobo122193 I know gd only runs in pregnant women. I just didn't know if they just take blood every once in awhile to check or what. Because my doctor never said anything about having mine done so I was just wondering.

You need to drink the glucose drink before a blood draw for them to get the results, usually 26-28 weeks for the 1 hour test@manders13
