Has anyone taken or is currently taken hydrocodone for pain after baby is born? I want to breastfeed but I am taking Norco for pain and I am afraid of the effects it might have on my baby. Is it safe?

I breastfed my premature daughter on vicodins. I wouldn't worry
they gave it to me in the hospital and i got sent home with a Rx because of a complication. as long as you don't abuse it and take it as needed they said it's ok
They wouldn't give it to you if you shouldn't have it
after giving birth to my daughter while at the hospital I was given hydrocodone for pain and I'm breastfeeding I don't take it anymore but I'm assuming if the hospital gave it to me then it's fine
What I would do is take it after feeding that way the medication is more out of your system by the time you feed next
I'm 6 days pp and I took Norco for my cramps and I breastfed. Everything was fine.
