Had another doctors appointment today. She found an increase of protein in my urine. So it seems I'm doing another 24 hour urine at home. On top of that my blood pressure has increased. I'm pretty sure she's convinced I'm developing preeclampsia. Bad news yes...but good that I'm 36 weeks and 2 days along. She did tell me I probably won't be going past 38 weeks. She's talking about inducing. I'm just a little worried over being induced. Some people feel really strongly that inducing is the wrong thing to do...but in my case most people have said I shouldn't question it. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences to share?
everything should go fine. :) I wasnt even dilated when I went in and didnt have any problems. yeah im not gonna lie its gonna hurt like hell. but its worth it!
@may24th, Yeah some people have a lot of opinions on pregnancy. You can't take the severe ones to heart. I'm just trying to figure out to expect a normal labor or a complicated harsh labor.
if baby goes into distress trust me theyre gonna fix that whatever way possible quickly. my son would only let me stay in one position really my whole labor anytime I tried to do something his heart rate would drop snd the nurses would come running in to position me where he was chill again. your nurses will definitely make sure your baby is okay the best they can. ive never heard of induction stressing baby out tho.
@may24th, That's good. I hear a lot of "it's taking your body from 0 to 100 and puts too much stress on you..." Also BS about it stressing the baby out? I don't know. Think I might be listening to the crazies
if your dr is suggesting an induction before 39 weeks then theyre obviously concerned for your well being and your childs well being in my opinion.
I developed high blood pressure and protein in my urine at the end of my first pregnancy as well . I rested and took it easy as well as drank lots of water , I had to do the non stress tests make sure baby wasn't stressing out to much and carried him 39+7 and was induced day before my due date , wasn't all to bad at all 12 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing :)
