yes those are a must because you'll definitely want to shower after. but usually it's 2hours if there's no complications after. with my first I stayed an extra day so they could monitor my blood pressure since it was high and this time I was gone the next day.

@tracynangel, no love pads some people say the pads at the hospital are super big and bulky so others prefer to bring their own overnight pads and put tucks on it
