I was apprehensive to give mine so early. But like the other ladies said, it helps them fall asleep,because you never want your boob to be their paci. But my husband insisted on giving it to him by day 2! Lol baby is not too much of a fan of it because he'd rather be eating. No issues so far though.

He only took his paci for a few months then outgrew it..thank god. But he still took the breast just fine even tho he had a paci!

Oh no...he's almost 14 months old now :) he self weaned at 10 months old..I got pregnant and my milk started to dry up so that was the end of breastfeeding for us.

my baby likes the avent brand. she started taking one at about 3 weeks on her own will. it didn't cause any problems for us breastfeeding.

Gabe has always had one but he doesn't use it unless he's sleepy

I gave my son one at about a week old..it was the only way I could get some sleep lol. He loved the Philips Avent pacifiers...like the one the hospitals usually give out. All babies are different though :)
