I need your guys' opinion.! 😁 so I'm considering giving birth at home but in a bath like a little pool kinda. This is my first pregnancy and idk if it'll be harder to have it like that or easier.? Or is it better to have it at the hospital since its my first, I'm a little indecisive 😣😧

I went to my hospital today and I asked about it and I guess they don't it anymore there 😯 I was bumped but my dr said I could get a midwife willing to do that so I'm thinking about it

I think it's called an alternative birthing center...I've been considering it to, but I'm scared because this is also my first. @ariela23

I just think its great how the warm water can relax you and also soften down there you know.? I really like the idea @trezelle

There's a lot of info on home births online. I follow this page on Instagram that's called "birthingmommas" and a bunch more. I've heard that natural births aren't as bad as the fear of them. I'm hoping on doing a water birth in my home also.

@ariela23, some hospitals have whirlpools for laboring, but depending on the hospital you may have to get out often so they can monitor the baby, and some will not let you deliver in the water.

@babygirl10-11, well my mom went natural on all 3 and I would like to do the same, I feel like feeling the pain is better because that way you know how the baby is trying to push and you can work with it and may be faster😊

A good midwife is prepared for any minor problems, and should definitely be able to stitch you up, handle hemorrhage, fetal resuscitation, etc. And will know when it's time to pack it up and go to the hospital if the need arises. @essence

At birthing hospitals.. Idk the actual name of them tho. I just know that a girl I used to work with had her baby at a birthing hospital and they give u the option of like different environments to have ur baby. U may have to google it or sumn lol.

Well normally your midwife will be there with you but I'm not sure that's why I'm having second guesses on it @essence

I'm hoping for a home water birth, too! Torn because of the cost, but hopeful that insurance will pre-certify!
