How many of you had to buy preemie clothes for the first week/s for your baby??? Everyone's telling…

My daughter was 6 pounds and 11 ounces and newborns were too big so I had to get premiee.

I had 3 and 4 pound babies so I was buying premiee clothes till almost 6 months

No problem! After she was able to fit in the newborn clothes she fit for almost a month. She got so chubby really fast. haha

I would try asking for an ultrasound at 38 weeks so that way you know how much your baby weights and determine whether you need preemie clothes or not 😊

Mine came home in a 3 month outfit. Couldn't fit any newborn.

@sophiesmom7, how long did she fit in the preemie tho?

My baby was 6'13oz I should have bought preemie but the newborn were ok I still need to go find some preemie socks though she will be a month on the 22nd @babeeberklee preemie are kind of a waste unless baby is really tiny maybe a few pieces 3/4 don't go overboard by two weeks at the most newborn should fit a six pound baby just fine

Yeah I already got one preemie sleeper that was just on sale.. I might just get one more sleeper and 2 onsies just incase. I know they grow crazy fast! I just got checked and my baby's in the 42% percentile... so I dunno! She has soooooo many clothes already. I'll be bummed if she can't wear them forever! @ginag918

I had her at 35 weeks and she was only 5lbs 4oz and we had to go do a late night run to pick something up haha. she grew out of them just this week so 3wks old. she eats a lot! haha

I feel the same I didn't get a lot of newborn stuff so I'm dying for her to start fitting 0-3months lol

My baby sister (who is now 14) was born prematurely. Not even the premie clothes would fit her we had to buy baby doll clothes (this was back in 2000). She was born at 2lbs 4oz was 14in long. She's now almost 5foot 3inches and only weighs like 69 lbs. she's grown up so much but is still tiny :)

Yup. He was over 9 pounds and his head measured 5 weeks bigger. I couldn't even get newborn over his head.

My 7lb 12oz baby did wear newborn up until about a month old. he is now just in 0-3 month clothes and is month and about 1p days old. I would get just a few premie for that 'just in case' moment!:)
