I Legit just had to ask my doctor to check me for dilation at my 37 week check-up 😑😒 I thought they did it regularly after they find you dilated the first time

I got checked at 36 after the strep b because she was down there but I haven't been checked again and I'm 39 today. so Dr's don't check at all. there really isn't a reason to check
Most doctor don't start checking until 39 weeks. unless there is a reason like contraction

I have an appt to check my baby's growth and check my cervix today. I'm at risk for preterm labor and was wondering when they check my cervix through ultrasound if they can see if I'm dilated or anything like that?

When did you ladies start getting checked to see if your dilating? I am 36 weeks 4 days and not once have any of my doctors checked to see if I am or not.. Only been checked to see if my son is head down, and he is.. Last week I went and the doctor said that she didn't wanna check to see if I was dilating cause she didn't wanna "mess with my cervix" 😕 or "get things started" those were her words... FTM
Same thing happened with my girls. I stop dilating. Dr checks and says if it's active labor you'll dilate and we'll know. NOOO I WONT !😭
