do any of you ladies have tricare prime as your insurance? if so I have a quick question.

I just read online that tricare prime doesn't coverage ultrasounds, that can't be right. it said that it doesn't cover routine ultrasounds, like finding out the gender and just routine checks. is that true? @babylott

I also read we aren't covered for a private delivery room but if we are lucky can get a postpartum private room. I don't know how I'd feel not having my own private delivery room. is that true as well? @babylott

my husband is active millitary and thats what we have and everything has been covered 100% havnt had to pay for any of my ultrasounds or anything.

My husband is active military too and we boy have tricare prime and I have not had to pay for anything out my pocket tricare has covered it all.....

I have tricare idk about prime but I haven't paid a dime I've had 3 ultrasounds and all that good stuff and just found out the gender.

My husband is active and they when it says pay for extra ultrasounds that is more if ur baby isnt cooperating and they cant tell u the gender that if u wanted another u would have to pay for it at a discounted price cause it wouldnt be considered a necessary ultrasound. Thats what my doc told me when i asked her this morning. otherwise i havent paid a penny for anything and they were able to tell gender at 20 weeks even though i paid 30 at a outside place to tell me he was a boy at 14 weeks

@firsttimemommy89, yes. i went on google and typed in ultrasound gender reveals at 14 weeks and my area and it gave me like 5 places. some require some info from u like basics if u come back for another and the lady i went to did it out of her home and she works at a hospital doing ultrasounds all day and she was more informative then any of my nurses had been the whole pregnancy. so it was a awesome experience. they had different packages to pick from but i did basic package and they did military discount so it went from 35 to 28 and some tax and i got a recording of the baby heartbeat that was put into the belly of the stuffed animal i picked out which is this puppy. just gotta do some lookin around and call and ask some questions. :)

I mean u can look on the website to see kinda what the one i went to offered to find something similar to where u live. Google peek-a-boo mommy in Escondido CA. tgats where i went and it was amazing!!
