Does getting induced hurt? My due date is on a very meaningful date (ironically) and would love more…

girl I was induced with my son. let me tell you the process of getting induced doesn't hurt it's the contractions! they are 10 times worst when you get induced

I was induced and after them upping the meds TOO fast my contractions were off the screen strong and less than a minute apart I couldn't breathe baby girls heart rate kept dropping so it ended in an emergency c section my sister on the other hand was induced with her first 2 and said contractions were painful but other than that all went well for her

did they put a string in your cervix before they gave you the steroids in your IV? @hayleymarie

The doctor will let you pick the day you induce?

A string? Nope, they put in a pill to dialate your cervix, and then they might do it again(they did it twice with me). I wanted my son on my due date because it's my half birthday (I had him the day I turned 21 1/2, so on his half birthday I turned 22, etc). Not gunna lie, my son should have cooked longer. I didn't really enjoy it, but when I had the epidural and whatever else drugs they gave me it didn't hurt. I'm going to ask for a c section this time though because I don't want another kid coming out of the play dough fun factory of life...even if that's the natural way.

i was given pitocin, it made my contractions more severe and doubled the pain of them. I already read that pitocin can cause stress in your baby so I wouldn't recommend that if you can help it.

the pitocin was the worst!!! they made my contractions so strong nd it put my so in distress! I was in labor for only two and a half hours that's not long at all but yea the put a string in my cervix it felt almost like a tampon but my uterous couldn't handle it so they had to pull it out after an hour of cramping!

They put the foley bulb in my cervix the night before I was given pitocin then the next morning I started getting Pitocin at 7:30 then bulb fell out on its own around 10 (once you get to 4 it comes out)
