HOW ABSOLUTELY IGNORANT!

I saw an article on FB about Beyonce and Jay Z helping pay bail of people in Boston. I thought it was cool but it was a short article so I asked who they are bailing out? Are they just bailing people who were arrested during riots? We're they helping those set with unfair bail? Not a mean comment I'm glad they are doing it I just wanted more information because the media never gives us all of it. And I'm now getting attacked on Facebook! Apparently asking a question [that made no statements about race whatsoever because why does it matter] like that let's my "white privileged" show through. How ignorant. So because I'm white I can't possibly know the struggle right? Because I'm white I can't possibly understand how hard life is right? Well I'm sorry but fuxk that! My so called white privilege has sure been hiding from me. Let me tell you what my "white privilege" has done for me.

My "white privilege" didn't help when I was homeless living in abandoned house in Detroit. My "white privilege" didn't help me find better housing when I spent so long homeless in a two person tent with 3 other people. My "white privilege" has never once stopped a cop from assuming I had drugs and way more aggressively than necessary pinning me down for searches. My "white privilege" never once helped buy me food when I was homeless and hungry. My "white privilege" never stopped all the times I've been put in a cop car and arrested. My "white privilege" not once helped me in court or kept charges off my name. I've been a lot of things

Homeless, hungry, addicted, beaten, left to rot. And not once has my "white privilege" helped me.

To say I don't understand struggle because I'm white is just as ignorant racist and bigoted to me.

I'm not saying white privilege is not a thing. But to assume I don't understand because I'm white is stupid.

I'm adopted. All my siblings are. My husband is mixed. His mother is black. And this is my family. The people I love and would do anything for. why would I want this violence and hate to continue? I hate that we live in a world where I have to worry about my baby brother coming home safe just be he has dark skin. And I try to help every cause I can to stop that.

But if you don't think it's wrong to assume I can't understand struggle because I'm white, your as big a part of the problem as any of the people that need stopped.
