Question for breast feeding moms. (TMI) This morning I was getting in the shower I noticed a white discharge from my nipples. It was thick but not liquid or gooey. It was coming out more from my right one than my left. What could this be? And I plan on breast feeding. I'm due in 5 weeks and want to get a head start on milk production. What could I do to work on that? I've heard of Mothers Milk tea but I'm also looking for other ways to make my milk come in a little early. Any help or advice would be appreciated!

discharge of any kind right now is likely milk, it'll become more milky and golden the closer you are to delivery. it is suggested not to mess with your supply until after birth. your body will make the perfect amount of colostrum for baby then move to milk. only 5% of women literally cannot breastfeed. most moms who think they can't actually can but have incorrect information or a lack of support.
For now, maintain a healthy diet, adding whole oats is helpful as well.
After baby you can nurse on demand (every time baby cries) and pump after to build a higher supply if you want to nurse as well has bottle feed.
hope this helped
