At 14, I lost my virginity to my husband. I would've never thought about having a baby then but I don't regret losing it at such a young age what do ya know? I married my husband at 18 and a year later were about to have our first baby girl!!

I agree one hundred percent. I remember when I was in high school, there was this girl actually TRYING to get pregnant behind her boyfriends back. At 15-16!!! She never succeeded- thank God. It's like, you're a baby for God's sake, why the hell would you want one of your own?! SexEd has pretty much disappeared out of half of the schools in America, and parents are dropping the ball more and more. I didn't even have sex until I was 17, and even then I used condoms, and was on the pill. I was more terrified of getting knock up but some stupid boy and being stuck in some hick town in Illinois for the rest of my life. I knew from a very young age I wanted more for myself and for my future child.

@sking092192, sex education has become so explicit in schools now it seems it's become a damn manual for how to get pregnant. I mean for teens in Highschool sex ed. shouldn't be so vulgar.

I was having sex at 15 but somehow never got pregnant, I was on & off birth control, sometimes using condoms & it didn't happen. Later on I figured the guy I was with had fertility issues because it took his mom and dad 5-6 years of trying for his brother. But I got pregnant 3-4 months into having sex with a guy.. I was 20 and as much as I LOVE my son, it was hard being a single mom & even at 21 I wasn't ready to be a mom. I watched my 15 year old friend miss out on college- she got accepted into college her freshman year of high school and had her kid... Not planned.. Thought she would have a good life with this guy, didn't work, had the kid taken away for awhile.. The sacrifices she had to make blew my mind!!!!!! So for girls to not be able to drive yet, or need a workers permit to get a job to support their child and think "this will be fun" just trips my 💩. My mum would have killed me. Everyone gets to make their own decisions, but I don't understand why someone so young would TRY for a baby.

Very interesting . When I was 15 I was still a Virgin . I wasn't even thinking about sex .

I'm not taking care of her I just help out every once and awhile. I made the decision to have sex therefore I will do what is necessary to prevent a child until I'm financially, mentally, and physically ready for a baby.

I adore my child and I couldn't imagine my life without her now that's she's here but I wish I would've waited. pregnancy sucked for me and my life had a lot of changing to do in a little amount of time.

@stepmommytoanna, those two things can still fail, just know (as I'm sure you do) anytime you're having sex you are risking a pregnancy. I was on birth control and we used condoms, and I ended up getting pregnant. condoms never broke that we knew of, and I was taking my pill perfectly. it still happened.

it was, I also had twins that lived next door to me. they were 15 but looked 10. both had babies within two months of each other. I got pregnant at 15 and had to grow up real fast. I had no time to be a teenager.

However I waited to give my virginity up to someone who respected me.

@aprilcgutkopf, I am on two types of birth control because I don't want a baby

when I was doing clinicals in nursing school we had a 13 year old in the clinic with a baby. She was such a baby herself. The grandma didn't look but in her mid 20's. She kept saying "mama mama I don't want to hold her when she gets her shots."

I waited to have sex till I was a week close to my 18th birthday and even then I should have waited. I was always on birth controls so I wouldn't get pregnant and luckily I didn't end up pregnant until a week before my 23rd birthday. Baby's having baby's is wrong. Do I hate my cousin for getting pregnant at 15? No but I didn't even think she was having sex. Sex isn't something you just do like most teens now away think. There needs to be more people who educates teens about the hard times and not just oh a baby now I have someone who I can dress up and who will love me. It's not always fun being pregnant as you guys all know it's just we need to stop the amount of young ppl having sex!

I'm 15 I don't think I'd want to have a baby when I'm still a baby. That being said my BF has a child and I help take care of her but still.

@aprilcgutkopf, @sgtpeppertheory there is no getting pregnant "accidentally" . Everyone knows how babies are made and birth control is free. (in most cases) I agree that at that age they shouldn't even be having see.

@aprilcgutkopf, they're still going to have sex though. whether they should be or not, it still happens. sex is meant to procreate and a lot of people (especially younger people) don't see it that way, even though they should. if you're old enough to do such and adult thing as have sex, you are adult enough to have a child too, or so they say. any time you have sex, safe, birth control, no birth control, whatever, there's a chance of pregnancy. if you are having sex at that age (which you shouldn't, but people still do anyways) it should at the very least be protected. definitely shouldn't be planning a pregnancy at that age. that's all I'm going to say.

Well I don't see it that way. At that age you shouldn't be having sex. That's all I am going to say.

I'm just saying it's going to be hard, in the case of young people who get pregnant young accidentally (including myself), it's hard. but why do it SO young on purpose. idk.

And at 15 (or any age under 18) they have no medical say I what happens to them it's depends on their parents but they had say of the child so you're making medical choices for a child but not yourself.

@aprilcgutkopf, yes, I think those are two very different things though. getting pregnant on accident is one thing but planning at 15 is another. 15 year olds can't buy their own place, can barely get a job (they usually can only get minimum wage part time jobs), still have a couple years of high school left (usually).

My cousin didn't plan hers but she is 15 years old. It just makes me wonder why someone would take away there own freedom
