So my dad has a major problem with how I decorate my room and has been insulting me and complaining about it. My fiance, my dad and I are all living my my great grandmother's old house and I get that he wants to respect it but I haven't damaged anything or put up anything inappropriate. apparently thinking my personal style of decorating is tacky is a big deal. I don't like his style of decorating either but he is comfortable with it so I don't complain as long as he keeps it in his space and doesn't try to force it in mine. he likes a bare minimum style. no decorating whatsoever. as little furniture as possible. and no clutter. that makes me feel like I'm in a mental hospital or prison. so what if I hang blue jeans on the wall. in my own room.
