Went in about a week ago because it hit 174/109.. as soon as I got there it dropped so they treated me like I was dumb and sent me home..

They gave me magnesium and labetalol iv when my bp was 164/114, because my meds weren't working for some reason

@r_oo, oh wow while I was pregnant they had me in procardia every 6 hrs around the clock, but once I had my baby they switched me back to labetalol, @cookiedevine I tried the apple cider vinegar it didn't work for me at all

will they not switch you to anything else? what about metaprolol? i think thats what its called.

@firstbaby_girl, they didn't seem too awful concerned about it at my last appointment.. I told them it had been running high and all they said was keep a log of it and bring it to them next time, at Labor&Delivery; it was spiking pretty high and they found small amounts of protein in my urine so they told me to call my doctor and let him know and all he told me was if things got worse to go back -.-

they should seem concerned. my doctor stayed on top of mine. i hope they pay more attention.
