Has anyone looked into like life insurance for your baby?

I tried to talk to my mom but she said it was morbid. I think it's important.

I just started looking and found the Gerber grow up plan. I really like that if my child is perfectly okay someday I can cash out the policy and she will have a little money. Not a lot unfortunately I know I don't have a lot of money to spare so I'm only look at small coverage but idk what to think.

Does anyone already have an insurance plan? Recommendations?

I personally don't but my dad is an insurance agent and he has policies on me and my child. just enough to cover only funeral cost. I don't think it's morbid I think it's being prepared for the unexpected things life throws at us.

idk how much to plan for. I was looking at just the 5,000$ policy which is the smallest. especially because as long as we pay it on my daughter's 18 birthday it'll double to 10,000$ and if she wanted she could cash it out be it for wedding fund or anything else she feels. But idk if that's enough in case of actually needing it of something happens. idk if 5000$ would cover any funeral costs and stuff [it is hard to think about but I know my parents had insurance on me and my siblings too and I think it's good]

I was thinking about that plan also. Only because you never know what life will throw at you !

that sounds like a good plan. my dad has my son's at like 2000.00 and pays like 10.00 a month. whatever you can afford to pay I think is best. once they are older that's when I would worry about the amount it covers just to leave money for their children and or life expenses.

We have life insurance for me, hubby and baby girl. We got it through our credit union. I think I am also going to do the Gerber one too.
