I don't know if anyone here has ever been raised by a manipulative parent, but the crap is painful. I'm 27 years old and just starting to see clearly what's been happening all of my life. It's a horrible thing to do to your child. Make them feel like the bad guy while you're the innocent victim. Yet you do everything in your power to slyly control their life. But just know that one day their eyes will be opened and the relationship will never be the same.

I've never been in a physical altercation with my mother and I pray it never goes there, but she is really pushing the envelope. Pray for me.
