@ruthie, I have appointment today. I'll ask why his doctor recommends. But it true, alchocol dries the skin so maybe its not the best option after all. Thx everyone

My sons did the same thing, and it took another week to clean itself out I just used a baby wipe every day

use baby wash and. wash cloth to clean it.

The hospital told me to not use alcohol, they told me to not mess with it. It'll come off on it's own.

My Dr said not to use alcohol on the babys skin cause it can be super sensitive and can burn them. She told me just to use a wet washcloth and let it air dry. My daughters belly button stopped lookin like that after about a week
