yeah that sounds silly. I was only a 40.4 and got induced. my body wasn't ready I was stuck at a 1 cm for 5 weeks. but I'm glad I got induced bc when my water broke at hospital it was full of blood. I actually had an extremely easy labor. but everyone is different.

Yeah sometimes they don't work, like they can't get you to dilate. But he should let you try, I'm pretty sure it'll work. Like she said vaginal births are easier to recover from!

He's going to try, but he said there isn't really much he can do if it doesn't work, other then cut.. :/ @sgtpeppertheory and no... I would honestly prefer ALL natural, no drugs or anything, then a c-section...

you should ask him to at least try an induction especially at 42 weeks!! some doctors just want to cut to the chase and just do c-sections for no reason at all because it's faster for them. unless it's medically necessary or your baby is in danger he can't make you get a c-section (I mean unless you want one). it's much easier to heal from a vaginal birth than a c-section.

He didn't seem worried, though... he said that he would rather not induce me, so he's gonna let me go to about 42 weeks and if I still haven't had her or still no progress, it'll most likely be a c-section because the induction will fail.....
