any other moms go from breast feeding to supplementing? babys 2 1/2 days old, and my nipples are raw and bleeding, I want to try 2 supplement bottles a day and the rest on the breast. but I'm beating myself up about it, I feel like a failure.
OT. WIC and formula help please We recieve WIC, and right now im breastfeeding, but Aleeyah has been refusing the breast for a week now. I didn't supplement for a couple of days thinking it was just a phase.. but those 2 days she nursed like twice and then only had solid food. so I started supplementing with formula. she gets 3-4 feedings from the breast and 3-4 of formula.
Today was the day I was Able to submit my order for my free breast pump! 😍😍.
I gotta question could I be pregnant and have 2 1/2 day period because I think i got pregnant on Nov 26 and had implantation bleeding on Dec 11 because I'm usually on my period for at least 4 days but mostly 5 or 6 which my full period was Nov 11 for 5 days ?? but in dec only 2 1/2 days it's kinda confusing really im excited about my Dr visit feb19 to know for sure :)
The other day I was back and forth bathroom, my breast gain and gain weight though and this morning I was received cramps and bleed what is Sign for that?
Is this breast milk or colostrum still? It's been 4 days and I'm worried my milk will never come in since I have to supplement with formula. Also each breast did about this much and I'm not sure if I should if I should save it since it's so little.

You could also try a nipple shield-I did that for my daughter bc she wouldn't latch and it hurt so bad. Just a thin plastic piece you put over your nipple that makes it more like a bottle shape. That saved my nipples too. Never even need cream with it

I do it my baby is 3 weeks been doing since one week she goes from bottle to Breast with no problem I do maybe 2 bottles a day n usually try to just do bottles when my nips are too sore n if we have to go out in public don't feel bad you will be giving Breast milk still right just pumping it or are you going to use a formula for breastfeeding to supplement with ?
