@hayleymarie, they fired me on maternity leave and then I got rehired and I was afraid to say anything because I need the job

@sking092192, wow that's ridiculous ! I know that feeling cause from the middle of my pregnancy till leaving at 38 weeks I had issues with my hours and things they wanted me to do at work (worked in a high volume restaurant with no breaks to even eat anything and never had time to get a drink) but I had to stay cause no one wants to hire someone 20+ weeks pregnant plus I knew I was going to quit and stay at home mommy

I don't understand why jobs fire you because of maternity...it's not like they are paying you so why do they care? Don't understand

It's illegal to be fired during maternity leave, if it's just because you're recovering and bonding. You can sue your employer, all while still working for them. If you don't speak up for yourself, no one else will.
