Okay so tell me if I'm being selfish or wrong . My mom asked me if I wanted to stay a couple weeks with her after the baby is born so she can help me out with my recovering and the baby. I want to but my fiancé is making a big deal saying it's wrong and everything. He is taking time off but financially it's not a smart idea for him to and he can still come see the baby at any time , I'm not trying to keep him away. I'm looking out for myself, in going to need all the help I can get and who better to get it from than my own mother? Is it bad I'm staying with her ?

I get where you're coming from but I also get where he is coming from . those first few days with baby is very special even for the father. Can't there be a middle ? Either he stays at your moms also or your mom stays at your house.

I personally think it's a,little strange to stay with someone just after having your baby, particularly if your fiancé won't be. Is your mother unable to stay with you?

I say honor his request of staying home with him. He will quickly realize he may not be down with being your right hand man every couple hours around the clock. It's not easy. Talk to him and let him know that if he can't hang with your needs with the new baby you'll be going to your moms for a while to adjust. Make sure he agrees to that though, otherwise he is in the hook to be by your side while he's home. Hope this helps!

Yeah we live with his parents so my mom won't stay with us @cg0112358

Thank you I do understand now how he can be hurt by my choice. I like the middle compromise @lajo

No my mom won't stay with us since we live with his parents and he can't spend the night at my parents. I think the first couple days I'll stay home with him @iloveni0820

Well, that's definitely understandable but it would still probably be better to stay at home for the first few days at least unless you don't think it will be a restful environment. I personally wouldn't have been comfortable staying elsewhere while recovering but do have my own home where I can control the atmosphere. If your future in-laws' house won't be as comfortable as your mom's then maybe I would consider otherwise.
Does your fiancé plan to help during the night? He might not realize how much your LO will affect your nighttime sleep. If he's still working he might end up changing his mind after the first few nights. My husband bunked with our oldest since our 2nd was up every 2-3 hours during the night and he still had to work.

Yeah his parents are very nosy , controlling don't understand privacy. I would feel so much more comfortable at my parents house. I told him the first day we can stay at the house as a family then I'll be going to my moms and now he is saying he agrees it would be better to have my mom to help and look after me cause he won't know what to do for me. @cg0112358
