Anyone had there water broke in the hospital? How is it done?

They take this plastic looking pencil and shove it up there you can't even feel it

You hear the sound of it breaking, that's what I remember, After its broken, you will feel the pressure and more contractions.

I think I'm going to get the epidural, right now they gave me something to soften the cervix bc I'm 41 weeks and a day and still at a 1 cm. I want to try and push as far as ii can before ii get it mess sence

it hurt me, but they use this thing that looks like crochet hook. my water had to be broken twice. it's different with everybody. the worst part of labor was them breaking my water for me. it may not hurt you though! hope things go smoothly with you!

I had mine broke its more pressure then pain for me then sounded like a waterfall rushing out but every women different

they broke mine its a metal hook looking thing I didn't feel it at all compared to the contractions. Then it feel like you peed the bed that was the worst part... gross

It was very uncomfortable for me, only a little painful though
