For those moms who bottle feed their babies, whether it's formula or breast milk, and it takes your baby a long time to finish it (15-30min or more), what bottle/nipple do you use? I can't find one slow enough! Plus this girl sucks so hard cause she's used to working harder on the breast. I want her to work harder on the bottle since we're transitioning to formula so she can fall asleep like she does on the boob. I was using playtex slow flow and now I'm using Dr. Browns stage one for 0-3mos. Thanks in advance!
@mamas_mia, I definitely am not going to try rice cereal or any other solids, just wanted to know if there was a slower flow nipple I haven't tried yet. And I know she's not supposed to eat in 5min,but that's basically what she's doing with the bottle; downing it in less than 10min. That's why I was asking about a slower flow than the one I'm using so she can work harder, feed longer and fall asleep like she does on the boob.
Do NOT give a baby rice cereal before 4 months. I tried that with my 6 week old since she eats every hour, and their little digestive system can't handle solids. She was constipated and scream crying in pain for 3 days straight. Just be more patient, baby's aren't supposed to eat in 5 mins. Your baby is eating like a normal newborn.
The only one that has worked for my son is the stupid cheap nipple that has come with my pump the medela nipples. All others come out too fast and he starts choking and shit
theresva way u can get ur baby to go to sleep faster without changing her bottle try adding some rice or oatmeal to her formula the Gerber Brand, it works every time and fills them up fast
I used dr brown bottles it sucks all the items to wash but they are truly the best bottles in my opinion
Ladies I need your help! I’m planning on giving baby her first feed from the breast so she gets all my colostrum but after I’m using formula. Did you mummies that formula feed take the ready made bottles with teats to the hospital in case you had to stay in?

Anyone use a MAM pacifier and baby still latches on the boob? Nevaeh doesn't seem to want to take the Avent soothie so I have this one I just don't want to confuse her. Shes on the breast not a bottle yet. It came with a MAM bottle that has the same nipple shape.
So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
Quick question to breast feeding mum i would like to breast feed my baby when she comes as I’ve never really breast fed my other 2, is it uncomfortable also how is pumping out milk????? For bottle feeds is the pump uncomfortable... I would normally just breast feed and not pump when home but I do drive so when I’m out and can’t stop I’ll have to use a bottle...I remember trying to breast feed my youngest and I keeped getting milk ducts why was that??? I think that’s why I gave up as I was scared...
Because I have to be on mental health medication after birth I am unable to breastfeed😔 what are some good formulas for babies? I know breast is best but I can’t be on the medication I need and breast feed.
@ab, yea that's what I'm using now but she still finishes fast and gets hiccups every time. And it takes a while to get to her sleep after whereas on the boob she knocks out on her own cuz she has to work harder.
