Mine wasn't painful just a slight sting but I was distracted with contractions

@paradisemama I've had 5 in my lifetime (2 for my prior births, and 3 for knee surgeries I had when younger) and they were never really painful like that, my first labor the contractions were so intense and they gave me something that had knocked me out for a while so I blacked out during the epidural and felt nothing. But my 2nd son I was very much wide awake, in pain, and alert. And it was a student because the hospital I delivered at was a teaching hospital and she no joke stuck me in the back like 10 times and finally called a doctor in it and first try it was in. The worst part was the numbing needle they used first. Just felt like pressure every time she would try to insert the epidural. I guess every women has a different experience and handle the pain differently

@kiicarnelly, I promise it won't be nearly as bad as the contractions and giving birth! It's so worth it if your ok with using it during labor bc some people don't want a medical intervention for pain.

I remember my contractions hurting way more lol the epi pain was minute in comparison. I'm sure the epi pain was worth it after while though :)

Mine didn't hurt at all. But I was on so much contraction pain though that I probably didn't notice. So on that note I'll add its hard to stay still! You have to be SUPER still for the procedure to be administered! And that's hard when contractions come 😁
