@joshsmommy, that's exactly what's going on with my daughter too! She's measuring big and I have some extra fluid as well, so they tested my glucose last week and hopefully get the results when I get to the doctors on Tuesday and hopefully I don't have gestational diabetes because those 2 issues are sometimes caused by GD. And I have weekly appointments and sonograms now to keep an eye on her weight. Once they tell me she's 8lbs I'm inducing myself!! Hah I refuse to push out a 9-10lb baby I am 5'3 normally 115lbs before pregnancy so i dont know if my body can handle a 9lber so I have a feeling my doctor will induce early as well if it comes to that. But with my 2nd I had decreased movement at 39 weeks so they did a sonogram told me my fluid was dangerously low and I had to be induced, they claimed the sonogram said he was 6lbs 13oz but about 26 hours later he was born a teeny tiny 5lbs 6oz, so that proved sonogram and that weight guessing isn't always right so, hopefully I naturally go around 38 weeks. Miserably uncomfortable already!

my son has to be about that no at 30 weeks at least 4lbs three weeks ago he was 2lbs 5 oz they're already watching his weight most likely have to be induced

@joshsmommy, omg it happens sometimes multiple times a day. Haha, just happened while me and hubby were laying in bed about an hour ago, hurt enough it made me jump! Happens a lot towards the end, there's just no more room for them to move so they push down a lot more. Especially when baby is bigger. I'm 33w5d now and at 33 exactly my daughter was 4lbs13oz (what the sonogram claims she is) so give or take some ounces but I know there's no room for her in there anymore she's way past my ribs so the movements are painful now.

@joshsmommy, absolutely it hurts like a biotch!! That's definitely 100% true, it knocks me off my feet sometimes, my daughter will do it to me and it stops me and takes my breathe away. Hurts worse than when she kicks my ribs.

@joshsmommy nope sounds like what they call "quickening" or "lightening" something. It's when baby pushes on your cervix with their head of hands. I get it all the time. Very uncomfortable! Sharp pains don't mean dilating

That's the head pressing down on a nerve. The head pressing down helps you dilate though!
