my son is a month old today and he eats about 3.5 oz every 3-4 hours. and every once in awhile he will spit quite a bit up when he's done. is he eating too much? and not sure if it mattered but he is also a preemie baby. tha ks
There are some videos on YouTube on just how to do it. My understanding is if you're bottle feeding you tip the bottle back to where the nipple is still is babies mouth for sucking but isn't getting anything then you too it back and do that at a certain pace like 1 minute feeding 30 seconds tipped away or something. If breastfeeding you can swap your nipple for a paci then go back an forth. The idea is that baby is still sucking on something to provide an illusion of feeding that way they don't get pissed when the food stops cause you're trying to trick them to think it'll still be coming they just have to work harder or wait. If that makes sense. I've never done it so I'm not 100% sure on the time spaces and such but 2 friends of mine had great luck with this method.
