Having really sharp pain on my left side .. Comes &goes; .. What could it be ?

I have this but on my right side. I swore I had something wrong with my kidneys, but I tore I muscle pretty bad, then I was having ligament pain on top of it. a few Tylenol usually does the trick and a few glasses of water
