Are birthing classes really that helpful or not. I had a couple people tell me that they are not helpful at all. This is my first child.
I've heard that Generally most people don't end up using what they learned in the birthing classes but they said that it was good because it helped to bond them with the father especially when going into labor.
I have just read a lot of books, watch documentaries, didn't have time for the classes. Due on Monday. I feel pretty confident
I took one at the hospital I had my daughter at and it was nice because they went over their protocols and gave us a hospital tour. They also go over different ways to labor and get through contractions. It's not wicked important to go to one but it also can't hurt.
its free for me through my doctor but wont be at the hospital i will be giving birth at. we are trying to figure out which hospital we want. we have heard horror stories about the one and the other we have heard nothing but good stuff
