Korbyn got his 2 month old shots today. since about 9:30 tonight he has been screaming, and won't stop. his little leg has a knot on it, and he's running a little fever. I gave him some Tylenol and he calmed down a bit. I layer him down, and it's like he can't get comfortable. I'm a first time mom, and I'm not sure what to do. Could he be having an allergic reaction to the shots? What do i do?
I would alternate infant Tylenol and infant Motrin every 4-6 hours. Motrin is and anti-inflammatory pain reliever and will help with the know on his little leg.
I was gonna say the same thing @niagracia .....@brookd123, what I did and still do when my baby would get shots I'd bring my Tylenol with me and after she got her shots a couple minutes after I gave her. her medicine and she was fine..never had a problem..before bed I would always give her a bath to sooth her and make her even more tired. just be there to comfort baby..tomorrow baby's legs will be sore so try not to touch them.
Don't rub the area at all. Bath him with lavender shampoo it'll smooth him. And for future notice give him tylenol before a shit it really helps him deal with the pain. He'll be fine hope it helps.
Lightly message the area with a warm rag. Or get in the tub with him and rub the area while under the warm water
Hope your little guy feels better!
