because pit bulls are so mean, right?!? I hate close minded people!! one of our pit bulls will make whoever is next to me on the couch get up so he can lay near my belly. he constantly walks in the room to look into the bassinet to look for the baby & gets sad when we say he's not here yet. pit bulls are gentle giants as long as they are loved & are in the hands of the right people!

I feel that any dog and any adult can hurt a child. I won't lie I was a little scared about my baby being around my bfs pit just because he always tried knocking me down nd chewed everything he ended up being stolen right before she was born but our new rott nd my beagle I'm the same way. The real funny thing. You see the cute little brown and white springer. That's my mother in laws dog. She's the biggest meaniest little bitch. She'll snap for no reason. Tannon can't be alone with her cause were not sure when/if she would attack him. You can never touch her face or she might bite you. You can't give her kisses unless SHES giving you a kiss then you can let her but never kiss her back. And everyone thinks she's the sweetest cutest thing. But you can't trust her

Just ignore them. U know the saying "U should never judge a book by its cover"... Some ppl are small minded and want see only the bad things in life. I was attacked by a dog as a child but that doesnt mean I think all big dogs scary. And the fact how the poor dog was treated by its owner..no wonder he attacked everyone who passed by their house. Some ppl do the same thing judging other ppl by how they look and dress etc...

i rescued our dog when we was 3 years old now shes 4 and even after being abused attavked by a male pit locked outside and starved all she does is bark when someones at the door once someone comes in she doesnt care she just wants love.

And.. Pit Bulls are great dogs! I get questioned all the time if we are going to get rid of our german Shepherd when the baby is born. Ummm no, she's a big baby and wouldn't hurt a fly. Unfortunately so many people have misconceptions when it comes to certain breeds.

when i got lily she was only around teens never toddlers so i was scared at first but only cause you usually never want to gwt a pit after they are 1 cause of how their minds are but i took a chanve and she has never once done anything one time we had an issue but it was my fault i was in my daughters room in the dark and when i got up they dog thought i was going to hurt her. that was the only time i have heard her growl and almost go after someone but like i said it was my fault. and i love how she is very protective over my daughter and we plan to get 2 more pit bulls i want a male. and i want him to be a guard dog.
