Can I drink water before my 3 hour glucose test I know I have to fast for 8 hours but is water included in that

Wow maybe each doctor is different but I was allowed to drink water and everything came out fine

i was told no until after they took my fasting blood

I wasn't told to fast before mine.. but during it I was told that the only thing I was allowed to have was water. I didn't eat that morning just in case though. And boy let me tell you.. BIG MISTAKE. that straight sugar water made me feel so nauseous, and achey... I was feeling pretty bad. lol

Well my doctor told me I could eat a egg and piece of toast but I didn't eat anything I fast as well but I did drink water and I started fasting at midnight

I don't remember having to fast for mine.... Water should definitely be fine, I'm just confused as to the fasting thing. It's been 4 years since I've done it so I don't remember, maybe I blocked it out. Either way, water should be good no matter what. Good luck.

Yes you can I just had mines on last Wednesday I had maybe three bottles of water before taking the test and I passed just don't drink or eat any sweet and don't eat a heavy meal
