Serious question... Long story short my mil holds something from my past against me and it happened b4 me and my hubby even were together and she stopped talking to me for like a year and we been married a year and 5 months... and im 17 weeks and she keeps saying "well in my culture..." and im like ik more ppl from Africa then u do so stop pulling the race card and she thinks she gets front row seat when im guna deliver and i dont even want her near me... Any ideas on how to handle this situation cause im stressing even though its still early but idk what to do.

Maybe I'm just a bitch, but I'd tell her I didn't want her anywhere near me. Lol. I wouldn't be nice about it either.

next time just say something like "luckily I have some time to make decisions of who's gonna be in the room & how my child will be raised."

ya well she the type to make a huge deal out of it and get that whole side of the family involved. i said only ppl i want in the room would be my mom who has been a single mom to me and my sis and my hubby. Thats it and she keeps making it like she planning it all around her.

@dessie0621, She only started talking to me since my hubby told her i was pregnant after he had me take 2 cheap tests which were faint then 2 digital ones haha so now she trying to give me tips how to eat and when to eat and how to exercise and im getting fed up and just irritated

lol I'm African myself and trust me most of them are pushy. but just tell her the only person you want in there is your hubby cause that's supposed to be a special moment between the two of you
