Just when I thought I got rid off charleys horse cramps they come back again. Its gonna be a long night but I just have to deal with it.
@kay80, ugh. That's terrible! They have to be able to do somthinggg. Even if it's having you take calcium or potassium supplements.
@lovemymonsters22, thx. True Im almost there. I just wish I wont go overdue
@jennatess, I told my doc last time I had my appointment with him and he told me I cant take anything and that I have to deal with it. They really hurt. I have in another hospital montoring on monday. Im gonna ask if they can help me or prescribe me some medicine.
@kay80, maybe talk to your doctor then. Voice your concerns about being calcium deficient. Maybe they can prescribe you something. Just tell him/her that SOMETHING needs to be done because it's getting to the point that it hurts to walk the next day. (I'm assuming it is, anyway. They hurt like hell!) . And then I would also maybe start taking some warm baths with Epsom salt before bedtime. That may help relax your body and muscles enough to sleep. --- you poor thing! 😥 Charlie Horses are the worsttttt.
Guys Ive tried it all and still no help😭😭 @lovemymonsters22 @karnawest @jennatess
@karnawest, really? I love pickles and I actually drink the juice sometimes😂😂. So its not gross at all for me, my hubby thinks though it is:) Ppl think Im weird for drinking the juice.
I know it sounds gross but drink pickle juice it did wonders with my first pregnancy . I would get leg cramps something fierce
sciatica nerve pain is different. I'm pretty sure what you're describing is just leg cramps. I've had both. Let me know if the bananas help :)
@jennatess, thx hun. Its little better as long as I dont move my position😁.
Milk is actually very low in calcium. Kale has more in 8 ounces! Haha. Salmon, beans, almonds, and oranges are great forms of calcium! I hope you feel better!
@jennatess, thx. My calcium in take is very low so I definitly need to add more to my diet. I do eat lots of green veggies but I dont drink milk. i eat sometimes yogurt and cheese.
@kay80, I know! It's terrible, but it gets the muscle to pull the nutrients it needs. -- Many people say "eat more bananas." and that is great advice, but that is when you have a potassium deficiency. And that is the most common issue for people who aren't pregnant. However, Calcium deficiency is the main cause for pregnant women. SO, even though bananas are great, and heathy, maybe try adding more calcium into your diet. That is probably the main cause for these damn charley horses! Haha.
@jennatess, I feel the more I move my legs the more pain I get. 😭
Worst pain ever!!!! - I woke up screaming the other night. They say to roll your foot forward and back, flexing the muscle, but the other night, that was NO help! - I found that the prenatal massages really helped to reduce them.
@lovemymonsters22, thx. Im gonna start eating bananas. I can take the "restless leg cramps" but this charleys horse is actually painful.
Yes, it can. Leg cramps can be caused from not having enough potassium. Try eating one before bed. Also, do some leg stretches. You can do it while laying down.
@jennyleigh, I think u having what they call "sciatica nerve pain"
I usually have them only during the night. They are like cramps and start from the calf and the muscle tightens and kinda goes to my feet. Well thats how mine feel and Ive been told its charleys horse. Usually it takes about 30sec-2min and the more I try to move my legs to streghen so the pain goes away, the more painful it is.
I think I've been feeling those, are they like kind of in your hip/butt? I've been getting sharp pains there when I'm walking and it hurts really bad.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
I know I've posted this before but when your water was leaking did it stay leaking or just with movements or what? Did you get contractions shortly after or no? I rolled out of bed and felt warmth leak out but Idk if it was possibly urine or what...never had it happen. It didn't smell like anything really...I know I should either call l&d or go in but I just want some experiences please. I want to wait a bit just in case it's nothing.
@jennatess, I know but thats what I feel like my doc could care less about my problems. he is so weird and all that. The good thing is were I give birth is another hospital and I'll be having another doctor there so I hope she can help me with my problem
